I AM not a fan of farces or pantomimes so it was with some trepidation that we went to the Theatre Royal, with my 13-year-old granddaughter and friend, to see A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, but it was sheer magic, from the very vital opening number right through to the end.
The singing and dancing were first class, and as for 'risque' as described by your critic - well I think you could take any child of any age and they would not be affected. You see much more on TV.
The timing of all the action was really well done, and as my granddaughter said "I could go to see that again Granny" and so could I!
