I NOTE Mr England's comments which apparently bemoan the fact that Labour and the Liberal Democrats have selected "outsiders" as their prospective parliamentary candidates for the Vale Of York seat for the next General Election (June 28).
As the Lib Dem prospective parliamentary candidate (PPC), I should like to point out that while I currently live in Newcastle, where I am a city councillor, I was born and bred in York.
My parents live in in the city and I lived, studied and worked in York until four years ago.
I am very proud to be a Yorkie.
Being selected as PPC for the Vale Of York is a homecoming for me.
I can assure Mr England that, if elected, I shall be a full-time representative of the Vale Of York and I shall of course live in the constituency.
I have instructed local estate agents to send me details of property in the Sutton-on-the-Forest area.
