VISITORS to the medieval town house, Barley Hall, off Stonegate, York, were offered free admittance and a range of fun activities to celebrate Yorkshire Day today.
The Yorkshire Tourist Board sponsored the event, which included free Yorkshire cheese and wine, face-painting and entertainer Professor Fiddlesticks performing in the courtyard.
David Andrews, chief executive of the Yorkshire Tourist Board said: "We want to highlight that Yorkshire is a great county. We've got a lot of things to shout about."
