RECORD crowds turned out for the 110th Huby and Sutton-on-the-Forest Agricultural Society Show and Gymkhana at the weekend.
Show secretary Jane Johnson said the uncertain weather encouraged many more people than ever before to turn up for the event.
She said: "It sounds strange, but when it's overcast people don't come and when it's clear blue skies they stay at home and have barbecues."
About 5,000 people attended and entries were also high.
The show, held at Sutton Park, home of Sir Reginald and Lady Sheffield, takes just under a week to prepare.
As well as many high quality competitions for horses and ponies, there was a fancy dress competition on horseback, entries for pigs, sheep, goats and dogs, and various different types of produce on sale.
The fancy dress competition was won by two ponies and two riders dressed as Thomas the Tank Engine, with the riders wearing funnels with eye holes so they could see where they were going.
