Heworth went back to the top of division three of Costcutter York and District Senior League when they beat Tadcaster Magnet by seven wickets while previous leaders Cawood were thwarted by rain against bottom team Thorp Arch & Boston Spa.
Having dismissed Thorp Arch for 55, Nigel Bartram taking five for 23, Cawood were four without loss when rain ended play.
Dave Bell took six for 35 as Heworth dismissed Tadcaster Magnet for 120, Mick Ransome scoring 39. Dave Bowling scored an unbeaten 54 and Paul Hemmingway 27 as Heworth won.

In reply, Bob Dickinson scored 37 and Andy Hough 26 to enable Acomb to draw at 156 for eight.
Easingwold missed a splendid opportunity to open an exit route from the three-team relegation cell when they fell only ten runs short of victory after dismissing Whitkirk for 114.
The Leeds team fielded a team which included six players aged under 17, but it was Gary Thorpe, with 33, who stood up to Gavin Rees, who took the honours with seven for 44. Youngster Tom Clarke then took three for 15 as Easingwold were dismissed for 105.
Heslington's Nicky James achieved the best bowling figures of the day and, subject to conformation, the best of the month when he took nine for 25 as Londesbrough Park were dismissed for 94, of which 36 were scored by Simon Dodd.
Park skipper Phil Curtis took three for 29 but Robin Cockerill made a decisive 63 not out which earned Heslington a six wicket win and a 31 point buffer from the relegation zone.
