A MAIDEN half century in the league by Duncan Robertson set Costcutter York and District Senior League division five leaders Rowntree on the way to an 69 run win over a ten-man Stamford Bridge side.
Rowntree suffered their seemingly now madatory collapse as they teetered to 61 for six in 26 overs as Godfrey Watson moved towards final figures of five for 47.
Robertson, in making 54, then shared a seventh wicket stand of 39 with Keith Burrows (18) and an eighth wicket partnership of 44 with Albert Pattison (19 not out).
After making a steady start Stamford Bridge slipped to 81 all out, Christian Soulsby taking four for 23 and Phil Grayson three for five.
Cawood's Karl Scott turned on the magic again with eight for 38 which had Thorp Arch & Boston Spa all out for 95. In reply, Steve Elliott made 29 to counter Chris Calverley's three for 38 as Cawood won with six wickets in hand.
Stillington II took the full quota of batting points when they totalled 200 for seven at New Earswick. Wayne Linton made 65, Rob Gilbert 43 and Denis North 28 while John Routledge stayed in contention to be the division's leading wicket taker by adding five for 75 to his tally.
New Earswick were never in contention, taking the draw at 109 for seven as Matt Coulson took three for 22.
Sessay moved into second place, nine points behind Rowntree, with a nine wicket win at Hovingham, who reached only 86 for nine as Giles Cressey took four for 16. James Till scored 48 in Sessay's winning reply.
Bolton Percy were in trouble at 50 for seven against Dringhouses, Dave Todd taking four for 20, when rain ended their game.
