YORK Wasps RL Club will begin next week with a new coach at the helm.
Interviews with all six candidates have now been completed and the club are on the brink of naming the new man in charge.
Chief executive Ann Garvey revealed the board had already made up their mind and would be tying up the loose ends over the weekend.
The identity of the new man will be revealed on Monday.
Former Great Britain international and Keighley coach Lee Crooks, ex-Hunslet and Huddersfield boss Steve Ferres and Warrington's ex-York star Tawera Nikau have all been rumoured to be interested in the post.
However, the club have remained tight-lipped. The only confirmed man in the running is Garry Atkins, who has held the role of caretaker coach since Dean Robinson's departure in March.
