A DRIVER had to stop his train after a youth shone a laser light pen into his eyes from the side of the track.
The youth was allegedly part of a group of four in a field by the railway line in Copmanthorpe, York, when the incident happened at 9.30 last night.
The driver of the freight train, which was travelling north, had to stop the train because his vision was affected, and a new driver had to relieve him.
A 15-year-old youth was later arrested by British Transport Police.
