NOW we have the visit of football's royal family to look forward to this weekend. The unchallenged king of English football, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, is bringing some of the stars of the Old Trafford court to Bootham Crescent. Top prize is the Premiership's petulant prince David Beckham.
It promises to be a great day tomorrow. York City will be turning the fixture into a party, and kazoos, balloons and Yorkie bars will be given away at the ground. After a couple of grim seasons for the club, this is a welcome effort to put the fun back into football.
