Injury has forced Malton and Norton Golf Club's Emma Duggleby to pull out of the English Women's Strokeplay Championship at Silloth.
The Curtis Cup international easily qualified for the final two rounds, making the cut by a comfortable four strokes, adding a 76 yesterday to her opening round score of 75.
But she was unable to take her place among the remaining 36 players today because of a wrist injury caused by the very hard ground in Cumbria.
It is hoped the problem will ease up after a couple of days rest and treatment.
