WINNING the contract to build the extension to the innovation centre at York Science Park plus four huge offices there is yet another quantum leap in the amazing fortunes of Harrison Construction.
The Malton firm's work list over the past year now makes it one of the most sought-after construction firms for major regional projects in North Yorkshire.
Already taking shape is the £80 million new headquarters and call centre for Card Protection Plan (CPP) in Holgate Park, York.
It has begun work on a new £800,000 medical centre at Tower Court on Clifton Moor for Teesland Investments; and its recently-completed Tesco store as part of its £15 million Richmondshire Walk development at Catterick Garrison recently earned the praise of Tory leader William Hague for the quality of workmanship and design.
It is a portfolio which is likely to generate about 250 extra construction-related jobs over the next year.
