I AM writing to draw attention to your readers that June Sykes, one of our most valuable and long serving volunteers, retires this month as National Asthma Campaign's honorary regional organiser for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
On behalf of everyone involved with the National Asthma Campaign, and especially people with asthma in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, I would like to thank June Sykes for all her hard work over the last 14 years.
June, who has had asthma herself since the age of 19, took up the role of honorary regional organiser in 1986 when our regional volunteer network was first established. Over the years she has made an outstanding contribution to our work.
Anne Bradley,
Chief executive,
National Asthma Campaign.
