THE Wilberforce Home for the Blind would like to thank everyone who supported two recent events.
The summer fayre on July 9 raised just over £3,000. We are very grateful to all those people who donated items, to all those who helped with the preparation beforehand and to all those who gave their time, enthusiasm and energy on the day. We were delighted to have the Ebor Brass with us again and thank them for their tremendous performance.
Thank you, too, to everyone who supported the collection at York Racecourse on July 15, which raised £1,714. The generosity of race-goers cheered our marvellous group of collectors.
