Desraya can shrug off penalty
DESRAYA, who finally got off the mark at this 11th attempt at Ripon last week, can complete a quick double at Hamilton tomorrow.
Kevin Ryan's sprinter goes for the All The Fun Of The Fair Handicap over six furlongs and is fancied to prevail.
Largely disappointing until findings his form in the last month or so, Desraya found opportunity knocking on his latest start when winning by a length from Golden Miracle.
A 7lb penalty may not stop him from following-up tomorrow.
Requestor might prove the answer to the Panorama Bar Classified Stakes over an extended mile.
The five-year-old ended a long losing sequence on the Flat for Norton trainer Jimmy Jimmy FitzGerald when scoring at Ripon last week.
Now that he has returned to the winning groove, Requestor may be able to follow up.
Seconds Away can get back on top in the Earlybird Classified Claiming Stakes, while Spirit of Khambani, narrowly beaten at Beverley yesterday, turns out again in the Dukes Rooms Handicap and can go one better.
At Leicester, Royal Artist looks good for the £10,000 Alliance & Leicester Handicap over seven furlongs and is awarded the Nap vote.
Although he has yet to win over this distance, Royal Artist chased home the useful Kayo in a similar race at Newcastle on his latest start.
Trained by William Haggas, who is enjoying a fruitful season, Royal Artist can add to his tally of winners by obliging here in the hands of Richard Quinn.
In the Quilter & Co Nursery Handicap, a note should be made of Sandles, the mount of Gavin Faulkner.
The Stuart Williams-trained juvenile, a winner first time out, ran an extraordinary race at Beverley recently, losing any amount of ground when making a slow start before staying on strongly to finish a close-up fifth to Biyo.
Provided he starts on terms this time, Sandles should run a big race.
Fair Step should not be overlooked in the High Sheriff's Selling Stakes.
Bill Haigh's two-year-old made a fair debut to finish second to Dancing Penney at Catterick a fortnight ago. She can now go one better.
John Dunlop is enjoying a splendid campaign and the shrewd Arundel trainer could chalk up another winner with Eurolink Artemis in the Choice Discount Stores Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
The three-year-old has shown ability in each of her three outings to date and although a beaten favourite last time, she deserves another chance in this modest company.
Sylva Paradise, who has been running in better company, should appreciate the slight drop in class in the Crimebeat Handicap and is capable of making a bold bid in a wide-open race.
Press tipster's hat-trick
Evening Press racing tipster Tom O'Ryan increased his lead at the top of the Racing Post/Coral Naps Competition table when his Nap choice Kagoshima won at 7-2 at Beverley yesterday.
This was his third Nap win in a row, followed choice for Sunday's racing, Just Nick, winning at 7-4 at Newbury, then Winter Gale (7-4) at Wolverhampton on Monday.
O'Ryan, who is a staff writer with the Racing Post, has been out in front in the Naps competition between tipsters from national and provincial newspapers all over Britain, for much of the season.
He is showing a profit of £45.26 over the season so far on a £1 level stake. His nearest rival is lagging nearly £23 behind.
