A FARMER who lay pinned underneath his tractor for two hours after an accident remained stable but critically ill in hospital today.
Charles Brader, 44, of Manor Farm, Thixendale, is fighting for his life in St James' Hospital, Leeds, after receiving arm, leg and chest injuries in the accident on a sloping field next to his farm. The accident occurred on Saturday.
Mr Brader, who is married with twin daughters, was discovered trapped by an arm and a leg under the tractor's roll cage. North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service fought for an hour-and-a-half to release him using specialist winches and air bags.
