York completed a brilliant Yorkshire ECB Premier League and Knock Out Cup double when they followed their shock 38 run victory over the league leaders, Harrogate, on Saturday with a seven wicket win over Clifton Park visitors Barnsley yesterday.

Barnsley batted first to post a total of 166 all out in 49.2 overs, Greg Stone taking 4-24 in ten overs and fellow Australian Greg How took 2-22.

Stone (62no) and Simon Mason (49no) put on 97 in their unbeaten fourth wicket stand.

York's skipper, Nigel Durham made two stumpings and held two catches.

York now entertain Scarborough in the quarter-final on Sunday July 30.
