REVELLERS at the Rowntree Park 79th anniversary party celebrations joined in the fun with a range of activities including face painting and a bouncy castle.
Live music performances came courtesy of Blueryder and the Golden Railway Brass Band, while the drumming workshop went off with a bang.
A variety of bric-a-brac, crafts and plants were also on display and visitors were offered the chance of a ride on a rickshaw and model train.
The free event was organised by the Friends of Rowntree park and City of York Council Leisure Officers.
Refreshments were provided by the St Chads Scout group.
