PICKERING bodybuilder PC Amanda Kay is planning to take on the universe in her next challenge.
PC Kay, who is well known as the strong arm of the law on the streets of the North Yorkshire town, is having a good year in national and international championships in the body-building calendar.
In May she won the Miss Great Britain title, then won a place in the European championships in Italy and the world contest in New Zealand, where she came eighth.
But the ambitious PC wants to do better in her next challenge, the Universe Championships.
"I wasn't happy with eighth place and I think I could have done better but I was tired after a 24-hour flight," she said. "I am aiming for a place in the top three in the Universe."
The Universe contest takes place in Southport on September 23.
Amanda has just come back from a holiday in Greece and will be starting on her training diet again from next weekend.
