WHAT happened to those graceful young girls, all arms and pointed toes, who trained at the Three Graces Ballet School, in Clifford Street, York, more than 50 years ago? Did any of them achieve fame and fortune?
In my case no. After 11 years' ballet training, I went to work in the Civil Engineer's Office, British Railways, met and married a Geordie and ran a seaside guest house at Whitley Bay for more than 30 years. I still visit family in York and would love to arrange a reunion of any of the 'old girls' who are still around.
