Chances: Devon could be heaven for Torquay in what could be a momentous season. The Gulls are celebrating their centenary and aim to mark their ton-up with an ascent into Division Two. Transfer sales have netted them £1.3million affording financial stability and manager Wes Saunders with more cash clout than enjoyed by any previous incumbent of the hot-seat. There is a core of experience running through the Torquay ranks from goalkeeper Neville Southall to captain and newly-appointed assistant manager Alex Watson, who is back to full fitness and rugged defence after two knee operations last term.
One to watch: Eifion Williams. Striker signed for club record £70,000 last March and expected to lead the goals hunt.
Title odds: 20-1.
