I WISH to express my concerns at the proposed sell back to customers of Kelda Water, due to a drop in profitability.
Do the customers have a say in this proposal? It has debts of £3.9 billion, equal to £2,300 per household for its 1.7 million customers. What were the debts when it bought the company? How much has it paid out in profits and how has the borrowing affected our water bills past, present and future?
Now it proposes to put three of its directors on the board to run the new company. Talk about having your cake and eating it!
