LITTLE goose's poetic plea for life (Letters, June 24) was moving, but the poor creature is sadly mistaken if she thinks that being a swan would save her.
A swan? Go on! What about arrows, air rifles, crossbows, decapitation, and slow death from fishing hooks in her throat?
Not even the Queen can protect her from such things.
It isn't nature who is "red in tooth and claw," it's man.
