MALTON and Norton's Curtis Cup golf star Emma Duggleby was seven shots off the pace after the first qualifying round of the Women's British Open Amateur Championship at Walton Heath, Surrey.
The 28-year-old shot a round of 76 while her Curtis Cup and Yorkshire team mate Rebecca Hudson handed in a 71, two shots behind leader Jessica Lindbergh, of Sweden, and one behind Belfast's Alison Coffey.
Another Curtis Cup team mate of Duggleby's, Becky Morgan, of Monmouth, also shot a round of 76
Duggleby was competing in a field which included some of the American team that defeated Great Britain and Ireland in last weekend's Curtis Cup at Ganton.
