A FORMER York worker who won £7.6 million on the National Lottery has given away £5 million to family, friends and hospitals.
Generous father-of-three Ray Wragg, 62, who worked as a supervisor for York-based Northern Cladding, won the jackpot in January.
He has spent large chunks of his winnings on his family, then made generous donations to hospitals and enabled ten friends to retire early.
Ray, who lives in Sheffield with his 59-year-old wife Barbara, is a lifelong Sheffield United fan.
His sons Mark, 35, Shaun, 30, daughter Amanda, 25, and his five grandchildren have all benefited from his win.
Ray said in January that he would be willing to return to his York workplace if they needed him - but just as a one-off, for old time's sake.
He said the firm, based on the York Business Park, had been good to him over the years.
