LEEDS United have agreed a fee of £7million with Scottish giants Celtic for striker Mark Viduka, pictured right.
The Elland Road club's chairman, Peter Ridsdale, confirmed United's offer for the Australian frontman had been accepted by the Celtic board.
"Mark is in Japan at the moment but we hope to speak with him in the next few days," said Ridsdale.
After taking time to settle at Parkhead, Viduka scored 27 goals for Celtic last season and was players' player of the year.
Celtic have already moved quickly to try and find a replacement by tabling a £6million bid for Chelsea's out of favour forward Chris Sutton.
If Viduka signs for Leeds he would take David O'Leary's summer spending beyond the £14million mark.
