I HAVE always been proud of the way we who support the Save our Swim campaign have done so with dignity and good humour. We don't have ulterior motives or self profit in mind, it's just that we want to be able to swim in York and preferably not in the River Ouse.
But at Wednesday night's council meeting as we gathered in the public gallery to hear our representatives make excellent and eloquent speeches on our behalf the leader of the council was seen to walk out of the chamber. Was this deliberate rudeness on his part or embarrassment at his council's incompetence or indeed incontinence, as the poor man was seen to leave three times during the meeting?
I know how he feels, I'm just the same when I get nervous!
