FOR the last three days my husband and I have been visitors in your fair city of York. As well as seeing all the sights, we were privileged to attend - and enjoy in the extreme - two outstanding performances at the theatre in Lower Friargate, the new home of Riding Lights Theatre Company.
After 23 years' association with York, the company is delighted to enter this new Millennium with its very own theatre and to be able to offer regular productions to the local community and its visitors.
The company are currently performing The Complete Works and The Alchemist and both productions offer an evening of humour, wit and wisdom, directly relevant to society of today.
We are very regular theatre-goers in London and the provinces, and can assure you that both productions could grace any West End stage. The energy, dedication and sheer professionalism of the whole cast and the production team offer a truly wonderful night out, and I do urge the good people of York not to miss this opening season of Riding Lights Friargate Theatre, which continues until July 1 - you will not be disappointed!
