I THANK everyone involved in helping North Yorkshire education authority achieve an excellent Ofsted report. It recognises the hard work and dedication of the management team, teachers, and pupils.
We should be rightly proud: examination results in the county continue to rival some of the best in the country, but there is much more to education in North Yorkshire than exams.
The authority has been praised for promoting higher educational standards where attainment is already high.
The report also recognised the good relationship between the LEA and the schools.
Coun John Dennis,
Chairman of Education and Libraries, North Yorkshire County Council.
