DADS everywhere will be hoping for breakfast in bed, a lie-in or another little treat this Sunday.
But if one parent group gets its way they will enjoy a much greater Father's Day benefit - a day off work.
Fathers Direct wants every dad to get an extra day's annual leave during half term to mark the occasion.
It argues that time with your children is a far greater gift than a tie or a pair of socks.
All dads would agree.
But some might be tempted to suggest a further holiday, to be taken during the term time: Father's Day Off.
