YORK City supporters club hold what could be their most important annual general meeting in years tonight - with the ultimate aim of getting a fan onto City's board of directors being the long-term goal.
If membership of the supporters club swells to 1,500, then the football club will be open to having a fan on the board.
However, the supporters club currently has only 200 members, and one of the first tasks tonight's elected committee will have will be to generate more interest.
Tonight's AGM is open only to members of this season gone, with representatives of the football club, probably City chairman Douglas Craig, also in attendance.
Supporters club membership for the forthcoming season is available from July 1.
Scarborough striker Darren Roberts has joined City's third division rivals Exeter City.
