NationaL Carers Week has started with a service for Carers and those they care for. It was held in Selby Abbey when the Rev Keith Jukes officiated.
The aim of National Carers Week is to raise awareness of Britain's 5.7 million carers. The theme this year is a 'fair deal for carers', focusing on financial hardship which is the biggest concern to callers who use the carers' national helpline.
Carers National Association is the 'voice' of carers and York Vale Carers is the local branch of this organisation. Contact us on 01904 488645.
