RTIX, the North Yorkshire training-based software firm, has expanded into new premises.

But the company has not had far to go, as its new home is within the same building complex it has occupied for the last ten years.

The move, within Sceptre House, in Harrogate, means the firm has trebled in size and now boasts two spacious new client training rooms, fully-furnished and equipped with the latest PCs. This will allow the firm to offer on-site training for up to 20 people at a time.

A state-of-the-art network server has also been installed.

RTIX, which employs 18 full-time staff, develops software for training and competence, performance review and training administration.

It has a global client base ranging from the United Kingdom and the United States to Australia and Sweden and works with more than a quarter of the UK's fire services.

Mark Taylor, customer services director, said: "In addition to the relocation and significant investment in new equipment, we are in the middle of a recruitment drive, looking to add to our training and technical teams.

"Changes in global technology are providing a massive challenge for everyone at RTIX and leading us in an exciting direction, constantly introducing us to new markets and experiences."
