THE hunt was today continuing for a middle-aged man who snatched a woman from a York street in broad daylight and sexually assaulted her.
The woman, who is described by police as "vulnerable", was bundled into a dark blue hatchback, similar to a Ford Escort, as she walked along Fossway, near to her home, at around 12.30pm on Saturday.
Her abductor locked the doors and drove her about a mile to Muncastergate where he subjected her to the horrific ordeal.
She managed to escape from the car and make her way home, from where her parents alerted the police.
The man is described as white, with short brown hair and glasses.
He was wearing a red, blue and white checked shirt .
