Dringhouses skipper John Crowe dominated his side's drawn game in division five with second placed Stamford Bridge as he followed his 57 with 5-52.

Teenager David Chaplin took 5-58 for Stamford, but Rob Nicholls hit 44 to help Crowe take the hosts to 173-7, and Phil Tonks top scored with 26 as Stamford drew at 126-8.

Third placed Stillington suffered a heavy defeat at Cawood, going down by 63 runs when they were bowled out for 91 in the 34th over. Tom Buckle made 67no to take Cawood to 154-5 then Howard Steane 3-51 and Steve Beech 4-20 gave the Stillington batsmen no chance to shine.

Half centuries from Mike Shirley (52) and Alex Ingram (50) helped Rowntree beat New Earswick by 98 runs despite the day's best bowling return from Earswick's John Routledge.

Routledge claimed 8-74 including a hat-trick, but still saw the Mille Crux side reach 175 all out. Earswick's batting crumbled as Christian Soulsby took 4-29.

Like their first team, Thorp Arch have yet to record a victory and their chances of ridding themselves of this unenviable record were swept away as Dave Mather took 7-20 to dismiss them for just 60.

Dave Kirman retaliated with 4-19, but he was unable to prevent Civil Service recording their first victory with three wickets in hand.

Bolton Percy had a good win at Hovingham as Bill Preacher 58 and Mark Phillips 69 saw them to an eight wicket triumph.
