ANYTHING is good if it is made of chocolate, says comedian Jo Brand.
While there may be much in what she says, we do wonder if Jo would feel the same after sampling the latest culinary gimmick from Yorkshire.
Are you prepared for the chocolate Yorkshire pudding? While combining two popular flavours in one product might seem a good idea, there are risks, as Nestl discovered with Flipz, the failed sweet and savoury snack.
And, yes, it is true that the Scots have been known to deep fry a Mars Bar. But a Choco-Yorkie? Vegetarian cook Sarah Beattie has come up with this unusual pud for the Yorkshire Pudding Boat Race.
Whether this all-in-one novelty will catch on remains to be seen.
But Sarah, a past winner of Masterchef, likes a culinary challenge. When she won the TV cookery contest in 1991, one of her recipes was for ice cream made with tomato and Stilton.
