Ground: London Road
Capacity: 15,314
Last season: 9th
Manager: Barry Fry
Ins: Andy Clarke striker from Wimbledon, free.
Outs: Giuliano Grazioli striker to Swindon on a Bosman; Mick Bodley defender to St Albans, free; Derek Payne midfielder to St Albans, free.
Chances: IF the nickname's the thing then Peterborough should have the pedigree for promotion. Known as 'The Posh', they will even boast that motto on their shirts after millionaire owner Peter Boizot dispensed with the former shirt sponsorship of travel company giants Thomas Cook. For once voluble manager Barry Fry has not employed his persuasive powers in the transfer market. His wheeler-dealings have been the stuff of legend, yet his summer drive has been remarkably quiet, save for the capture of pacy striker Andy Clarke. Peterborough will this season rely almost exclusively on a band of youngsters, who have come up through the ranks and are close to realising their potential, according to sources close to the London Road ground.
One to watch: Matthew Errington. Fast, tricky winger, scores goals and sends over stream of excellent crosses. Little wonder he is being tracked by a pack of top clubs.
Title odds: 11-1.
