Born: Shipley November 9 1965. Recruited from Sunderland in summer 1998, the vastly experienced campaigner suffered from injury and lack of form last season. He was placed on the transfer list at the end of last season and after pre-season trials with Carlisle came to nought, remained on City's books and has fought his way back into the senior side after overcoming a string of niggling injuries. Other clubs include Barnsley, Blackburn Rovers and Leicester.
