Born: Newtonards, February 1, 1971. Vastly experienced keeper signed by Dolan from Blackburn Rovers until the end of the season. Rovers will receive £50,000 if he goes on to make 50 appearances for the Minstermen. However, a number of 'bigger' clubs are known to be monitoring his progress and could decide to try and lure him away from Bootham Crescent at the end of the campaign. However, for the time being at least, Fettis has committed himself to City to try and resurrect his faltering career and international ambitions. A Northern Ireland international, Fettis, 29, won the last of his 25 caps more than a year ago. Was down the pecking order at Ewood Park and had previously been number two at Nottingham Forest after starting his career under Dolan at Hull City. Also had loan spells at West Brom and Leicester City. Made his debut in the 2-0 defeat at Peterborough.
