Born: Manchester, September 1, 1967. Rugged, experienced defender who has played all his professional football in the basement divisions. Signed by manager Neil Thomspon for £20,000 from Halifax Town in September and made his debut for the Minstermen in the 1-0 defeat at Rotherham. Sertori, signed by Thompson to give City a greater 'physical presence' in defence, has now made more than 300 league appearances since making his debut for Stockport County 13 seasons ago. Since then he has had spells at Lincoln City (50 league games, nine goals), Wrexham (110,3), Bury (13,1) and Scunthorpe (83,2). Had featured in every game for the Shaymen prior to his move to Bootham Crescent. Switched to a striking role by manager Terry Dolan towards the end of the season.
