Acorn's early season bid for York Exhibition Hotel Group Darts League division two supremacy continued with a good win over Victoria Vaults.
Gene Wright led the way with a splendid 17 darts and Ray Ward included a maximum score.
Frank Cartin opened Snickleway's account with 20 darts. Saddle's captain Paul Cooper replied in the same number and Saddle went on to win 6-3.
Tony Chapman and Paul Mahoney inched Shepherds 'B' to victory in the decider against Groves.
Holgate were made to struggle by Sun 'B', but Mick Brookes and Gary Stewart edged it.
Sun 'A' had a fine 20 darter from Doug Sutcliffe to beat Waggon 6-3.
A steady 21 darts by Paul Hayes held Swan the aggregate against Railway Institute, who were given the match points by Mark McClaren and Paul Chappel.
In division one, Heath Scaife was outstanding, gaming in 15 darts as Cygnet outpaced Green Tree 'B' 7-2. Mark Miller opened the match with a splendid 17 darts.
Poacher's Ray McInally won in 21 darts with 140, 140, 112 scoring then shot three tons plus 105 in the pairs as they beat Earswick 6-3.
Paul Keers clinched a Trafalgar victory over Flag with 21 darts. Kevin Pallister put Green Tree 'A' out in front with 19 darts but Dringhouses went on to win 7-3, inspired by three tons, 125 for 15 darts from Barry Noble.
A couple of smart finishes helped Horseman defeat Osbaldwick.
Graham Wilkinson checked 100 to make it 3-3. Mark Addinall, Horseman's skipper, put the scores at four-all with game on 114, then Sean Ong and Jamie Byworth pinched the decider with Osbaldwick stuck on double-one.
Plenty of tons-plus graced the Slip versus Shepherds match which Shepherds won 8-1, only Bruce Alexander replying. Chas Ramsden recorded an excellent 18 darts and was well supported by 21 from Mick Wilsden.
