York theatre audiences knew they had been "tangoed" this week, as a show based around the fiery Latin dance brought the Grand Opera House down.
And the performers' sizzling skills also lit up damp city streets when they performed in the open air to promote Let's Party.
The idea of the Millennium event is to involve everyone in a summer celebration. It takes two to tango, but many more to party so start thinking now how you can get involved. Looking forward to the carnival will help us all banish those gloomy April blues, for a few moments at least.
