Yet more industrial development has begun at an industrial estate at Sheriff Hutton, near York.
A terrace of three speculative 2,000 sq ft industrial units is being built and should be completed by the end of this month.
Developers Woodhouse Barry Construction Ltd decided to go ahead with the steel portal frame units, encouraged by the recent sale of a made-to-order 7,600 sq ft industrial unit with offices there to Alstoe Animal Health Ltd.
John Greenway, MP for Ryedale, opened the Alstoe building, which was a stone's throw from the veterinary pharmaceutical company's previous base on the industrial estate.
Surveyor Alastair Gill, of DTZ Debenham Tie Leung, in Fossgate, York, is marketing the new units. He said: "We are looking to sell each of them for £87,500 and - businesses please note - there is room behind on land also designated for employment use for more building to take place."
