Former York City skipper Steve Tutill will line-up against his home-town club for the first time tomorrow.

Following his 1998 free transfer move to Darlington Tutill, who made 351 appearances for the Minstermen, had not encountered City as opposition but was set to play against York at Feethams on January 3.

However, that match was postponed and rearranged for a couple of weeks later. In the interim, Tutill, 30, broke his cheekbone and was out of action for a number of weeks.

After last Saturday's stalemate against Southend and their posse of former City stars it is another case of knowing your enemy for York.

As well as Tutill, Marco Gabbiadini, Glenn Naylor and Mark Samways will all be relishing facing their former club.

The versatile Gary Himsworth is not expected to make an appearance having fallen down the pecking order at Feethams while Naylor's place could also be under threat with the return of Neil Heaney.

Despite scoring twice in as many games, Naylor could be forced to make way for winger Heaney who has now recovered from concussion suffered in Darlington's last away match - a 1-0 win at Hull City.

Centre-back Craig Liddle is also expected to return after sitting out the 2-2 draw with Shrewsbury in midweek through suspension.

Midfielder Paul Holsgrove, signed from Hibernian on deadline day, could be in the squad after breaking his nose against Shrewsbury, 15 minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute.
