A hat-trick of former York City players were on target as Rotherham battled back from two goals down to force a draw against promotion-chasing Darlington.

The points means the Millers stay a point in front of Swansea at the top of the Division Three table.

Former York striker Marco Gabbiadini netted his 24th of the season, and Glenn Naylor, also ex-City, put the Quakers 2-0 in front by half-time.

But Rotherham struck via defender Guy Branston and an own goal from ex-City skipper Steve Tutill in a four-minute burst midway though the second period.

Swansea led at Brighton through Julian Alsop, but Gary Hart made it 1-1 and extended the Seagulls' unbeaten run to eight games.

Northampton had hopes of making up ground when Carlo Corazzin put them in front with his 14th of the season after 11 minutes at Plymouth. But Paul McGregor's 12th of the campaign and Jason Rowbotham's 71st-minute goal made it 2-1 and kept Argyle's unbeaten home run intact.

Marlon King's 51st-minute goal was enough to keep Barnet up with the play-off pack and brought a 1-0 win at Mansfield.
