Why has the area of Deangate near the Minster been made so completely sacrosanct that outside the Minster School there is a sign for no loading or waiting?
Recently my husband and I attended a Lent Address by the Venerable Hugh Buckingham at the Minster.
When we returned to our car half an hour later we had a fine of £20 fixed to the windscreen. I am a disabled person, an orange badge holder and have great difficulty walking. Therefore my husband wanted us to be as near the Minster as possible.
But the door near Constantine's monument had a notice - Exit Only. The last time we went it was Entry Only. Could those responsible please explain this?
