Post Office customers in York have remained in winter after time-locked safes did not have their clocks altered.
A mistake meant staff could not get to the money they held until an hour after the normal time.
Christine Waddington, postmistress of Bright Street Post Office in Stamford Street East, off Leeman Road, said: "We haven't been able to get into the safe all week because it hasn't been altered to British Summer Time. A spokesman for Post Office Counters said: "There were some operational difficulties at a number of offices in the York area and we apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused."
