Clifton lost two York and District League ladies' division one matches by a 3-6 margin, going down at home to Selby 77 and Railway Institute.
The Selby match saw the visitors' Julie Smythe and Gail Bradley swing the match with three wins for 103-56, while in the Institute match Sandra Pauw and A Murray put in the best display with three wins for 90-46.
Market Weighton visited Knavesmire in ladies' two and won 6-3. Sue Durston and Sue Smith took three Weighton wins for 90-31, including a six and four over Carol Bell and Heather Richardson who took two wins for Knavesmire.
Riverside visited St John's in men's three and were good value for a 6-3 win. Jeremy Bowman and Ian McInlay put in a good display for the Poppleton-based side, culminating in three straight wins for a total of 90-31.
Students 'B' confirmed their position at the top of mixed two with wins over Drax 'B' (7-2) and Clifton C (8-1).
Mike Jones and Caroline Crugg took Student maximums in both matches for a two-match total of 180-82 in a good display. Graham Lockwood and Melanie Knowles took the Clifton consolation with a 15-8 15-13 win over Helen Chapman and Paul Capewell.
Joy Wilson and Mark Hopwood took three wins for Knavesmire 'A', who won 6-3 at Drax 'B'.
Their aces total of 98-64 included a 15-3 4-15 15-11 win over John Formby and Sue Matchett who took two Drax wins.
Tadcaster 86 'A' scored two good wins and suffered a narrow defeat in mixed three recently.
A 6-3 away win over Pocklington 'B' was followed by a 4-5 defeat at Sheriff Hutton, before bouncing back to record a 9-0 home win over Millthorpe 'B'.
The Pocklington match saw Phil Zealand and Alison Mason topscore with three straight wins for 90-34.
Dave Grieve and Jo Wade swung the match in Sheriff Hutton's favour with three wins for 105-79 including a tough 17-16 11-15 15-12 over Phil Zealand and Catherine Topping.
Pocklington 'B' suffered a further reverse when they entertained Drax 'C' and lost 1-8. John Formby and M Jenkinson were in great form for the visitors taking three straight wins for 192-58.
Derrick Rastall and Val Nolton took the home consolation with a 17-14 12-15 15-7 over Richard Course and Pat Gregory.
Millthorpe 'B' bounced back in their next match to record a 5-4 home win over Rowntree 'C'.
Sam Watson and Anne Gray put Millthorpe on the winning track with three wins for 100-66, the total including an 11 and 11 over Phil Pearce and Lynne Lyall, who took two Rowntree wins.
Huntington 'B' continued their upturn in their fortunes with a 7-2 away win over Market Weighton. Jim Pratt and Carolyn Arden opened their account with a 17-16 15-9 win over John Warburton and Sue Smith and then went on to take their next two rubbers for an aces total of 92-41.
Fulfordgate 'A' travelled to Middlethorpe in mixed five and won 6-3 in a long match. Maureen Medlor and Mat Hobman put in the match-winning display for the visitors returning three wins for 100-65.
Fulfordgate 'B' visited Selby Jubilee 'C' and were good value for a 7-2 win.
Peter and Anita Wilkinson put in a good performance for the visitors with three wins for 108-75, including a 5-15 15-4 15-12 defeat of Sean McDermott and Alex Bush.
Selby Jubilee 'B' proved the selectors right with an 8-1 home win over their 'C' team club-mates. S Benson and V Newnham topped the 'B' team averages with three straight wins for 90-42.
Sean McDermott and Alex Bush replied for the 'C' team with a five and nine over Keith Tovey and Sandra Hatfield.
