Noble's colleague Mick Coupland checked out on 137, but their side, Dringhouses, failed to master Beeswing whose 5-4 win included a fine 109 finish for 21 darts from Brian Harden.

Slipper 'B' team's Ian Johnstone sailed out in 17 darts, as did Huntington's Dave Robinson against Punch Bowl, whose only winner was Bob Rochester.

Gary Jefferson was Tang Hall's only success against Cygnet 'A', who had Mick Nixon gaming with 18 darts.

Only Carol Perrett replied for Three Cranes in their York John Smith's Ladies' League match with Brigadier who had Joan Woods checking out on 118.

Tracey Farmeary, Carole Pipes and Sue Smith were double-ton scorers for City Arms in an 8-1 win over Slipper, while good wins from Michelle Britton (123, 140 for 21) and Dawn Exton (24) guided Wenlock to a 7-2 score at Dringhouses.

Emma Ashton partnered Dot Dykes to get Layerthorpe a 5-4 victory at Cygnet, while Slip's Gill Warriner gamed in 21 darts but Mitre's Wendy Smith shot a 70 finish before Donna Watson and Audrey Seymour sealed the 5-4 result.

Sheila Elliott and Sue Richardson combined to get Severus the decider against Woolpack, while Maggie Tottie set the scene for an Ox win over Britannia.

Sheila Pallister (140 for 25) pointed Green Tree in the right direction and Sue Claydon hit the high scores in a 7-2 Vaults win at Junction and Audrey Carling was outstanding as Cue Ball beat Leeman 6-3.

Karen Brown and Barbara Ward won the closing game to give Lawrences the edge over Cygnet.

Britannia were floundering at 4-2 down to Burton Stone but they won the next two pairs onto which Betty Pinder and Joan Harrison tagged the winner.

Sharron Kendrick and Julie Brownlee won Acomb's decider at Clifton.

In division four, partnering Ann Smith, Cath Garnett took her chance at the bullseye finish to win Puss 'n Boots the decider at Frog.

Poacher pipped Shepherds with a resolute performance from Sallie Spellman and Cath Sturdy.

Fiona Chilton starred in Leeman 'B' team's victory while Janice Hagan led Clifton to a win at Queen whose Shelagh Kenny single-handedly won a pairs point.

Leeman 'C' won 6-3 at Ebor. Big scores in the match were recorded by Jackie Pearson and Michelle Kelly.

The best of the York White Rose Ladies' League performances was 20 darts from Chris Fearn of Nags Head, Askham Bryan.

But it came just after Chris Ingriselli had sealed victory for Burton Stone.

Angela Forth put Sarah Brought on to win Tam O Shanter the decider over Tap while Bumper had their 4-3 victory over Collingwood clinched by their captain, Rose O'Bee.
