Tim Easterby, warming up for what promises to be another first-rate Flat campaign on turf, can open his winning account at Catterick tomorrow.

The Great Habton trainer saddles Bollin Nellie in the Yarm Handicap and this promising three-year-old can hit the target in a race Easterby won 12 months ago with Rum Pointer.

Bollin Nellie, owned by Lady Westbrook, one of the Easterby stable's longest-serving patrons, showed consistent promise in her four races last season as a juvenile.

However, this daughter of Rock Hopper always looked more of a three-year-old prospect with longer distances a must.

Tomorrow's step up to a mile-and-a-half should suit ideally and Bollin Nellie, with Robert Winston in the saddle, is napped to score.

Winston also teams up with Blue Line Lady, trained by his boss Richard Fahey, in the Springtime Classified Stakes and this speedy filly has strong claims on her best form of last season.

Fatehalkhair can give Winston another winner in the Whorlton Handicap.

Trained by Brian Ellison, whose horses seem in good form, Fatehalkhair goes particularly well on this course and although he remains unproven at tomorrow's distance of one mile and six furlongs, there is every chance he will possess the necessary stamina.

Foreign Editor deserves plenty of attention in the Gods Solution Handicap.

Trained by Richard Fahey for the Pride Of Yorkshire Racing Club, headed by Noel Bulmer of the Ashfield Hotel at Kirbymisperton, Foreign Editor has proved a revelation on sand this winter and has improved out of all recognition.

As fit as a flea, there is no reason why he cannot make a successful transition to turf tomorrow, especially as his rating is significantly lower than the one he is now racing off on the all-weather.

Hout Bay showed a glimmer of promise last season and can give Ollie Pears and Steve Kettlewell a taste of success in the Toytop Maiden Stakes.

At Nottingham the £10,000 Tote Trifecta 1-2-3 Showcase Handicap takes pride of place as the richest race of the day and the honours could well fall to Sheriff Hutton jockey Kevin Darley.

He teams up with The Exhibition Fox, trained by Bryan McMahon who has made an excellent start to the season after saddling three winners at Doncaster last weekend, two of which were partnered by Darley.

Frankie Dettori, who returned to action at Windsor yesterday after his dynamic triumph on the brilliant Dubai Millennium in the Dubai World Cup on Saturday, has significantly been booked by Barney Curley to partner Classic Referendum in the 'Come Racing' at Nottingham Handicap.

Newmarket-based Curley is a very shrewd operator and although Classic Referendum's credentials are not instantly obvious, the Dettori factor suggests a close eye should be kept on him.
