Fears that up to half of Britain's remaining sub-post offices could close have prompted an astonishing public response, as witnessed by the huge support for our Counter Attack campaign.
A petition signed by 40,000 North Yorkshire residents, calling for the Government to ditch reforms that could damage post offices, has been presented to William Hague.
This is the latest milestone in an ongoing crusade. The next will be the Westminster rally in April. It is imperative that we keep up the pressure until the future of our post offices is assured.
